Victoria Beckham refuses to perform with 'Spice Girls'

MUMBAI: Victoria Beckham reportedly won’t ever sing again with her former superstar pop group ‘The Spice Girls' and remaining members of the band are looking for a replacement.

According to reports 38-year-old singer-turned-designer Beckham declared, “I won’t sing again, I’m not getting up on stage again.”

It is said Victoria just purchased a new retail space in London as her fashion business is rapidly expanding.

According to reports a close source said, “The girls, particularly Geri, think there is so much more that they can achieve, and they know that their fans still want to see them perform. In an ideal world Victoria would be part of their plan, but she just won't budge. She sees her future in the fashion industry so they have had to come up with another scenario.”

Apparently the rest of the band, which is comprised of Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, Melanie Chisholm and Melanie Brown are aware of her decision and are said to be disappointed with Victoria’s decision as many of them, Geri especially, wanted to continue as a band.

“It is a dream of Geri’s to get the girls back together for a good tour, a bit like how Take That have done it. She can see a really successful future for the girls and in her usual determined way has got herself out there and spoken to the right people,” the sources said.

It is rumoured they are looking to develop a TV talent show in search of  a replacement.

In 1995, Fuller signed The Spice Girls and a year later they released their debut single Wannabe which went to No 1 in 30 countries. Their first album, Spice, sold a staggering 28 million copies worldwide and sold over 80 million records across the globe till now. Their major set-back came when The Spice Girls lead Geri quit the band suddenly in 1998. Only to make a comeback in 2000 and giving the world their music.
