MUMBAI: Young Indian electronic dance music fans have got more reasons to dance with joy, as India get its first ever under-20 dance music experience #uXX. Programmed by Submerge it is presented by Oranjuice Entertainment and Barker Productions.

There will be a series of concerts that will be for 20-years old or younger. It aims to provide young Indian electronic music fans access to young and upcoming talent from around the world - talent that is delivering fresh sounds.

Barker Productions director Rohit Barker says, “I've been traveling across India as a radio presenter and a DJ for years now. I can't tell you how many times I've met young people who have amazed me with their enthusiasm for and knowledge of electronic music. These fans have always had so much energy, but no place to share it because they were too young to go clubbing. #uXXis a place where they can share all that energy.” Barker has been working his way through ever since his career began at All India Radio. He also had stints at Channel V, Radio City, and Radio Indigo.

In 2002, Oranjuice Entertainment produced the first set of concerts and the first EDM festival in 2003. “We've had a long-standing relationship with the EDM scene and we're very excited to be involved in what we think is the next big thing in EDM for young Indian fans,” says Oranjuice Entertainment director Owen Roncon. It has successfully promoted and produced sell out gigs, concerts and festivals such as the Johnnie Walker One Tree Music Festival, The Mahindra Blues Festival and Live from the Console.
