UK's Local Radio may sell Jazz FM to management
MUMBAI: The UK based Local Radio company has announced that it is in talks to sell its station Jazz FM to a consortium headed by the station's executive chairman Richard Wheatly following a strategic review.
A Reuters report says that Local Radio, which runs a network of 21 stations including Silk FM and Stray FM, also said Wheatly, its former executive chairman, was stepping down from his role as a non-executive director.
Local Radio's management, including Wheatly, originally sold Jazz FM in 2002 before licensing it back from Guardian Media Group and relaunching it as a digital station last October.
