MUMBAI: Some of the country’s top rock acts will perform in Jaipur’s first ever rock fest ‘Rockit’ to be held on 6-7 October at the city's open-air theatre of Ravindra Manch.

The line-up includes top acts like Parikrama, Pentagram, Menwhopause, Skhabang, Barefaced Liar and Bhayanak Maut, who will be joined by Jaipur’s own- Nightwings 3 and Wintergate.

Speaking to Radioandmusic.com, Pentagram singer Vishal Dadlani said that the band expected a fun festival in a city well versed with rock music.

“Jaipur is a beautiful city and we expect all types of audience who love what the bands are going to play. We will decide our songlist as and when we reach the city. But we should be playing our new takes on old ideas and popular songs,” he said.

Dadlani said that Jaipur as a venue for a rock concert was very apt as the city had a strong rock culture. The media too was active in reporting events of the kind.

“I can’t say how many people will be there, that would depend on how the event is promoted, but we can expect every type of audience going by the variety of the bands and music they’ll be playing,” he said.
