Spikes Asia 2012 announces Radio, Film, Print and Outdoor jury

MUMBAI: Spikes Asia, the annual award and festival for creative excellence in advertising and communications, has announced the jury members for its radio, film, print and outdoor categories.

DDB Worldwide chief creative officer Amir Kassaei is the jury president while the jury this year includes McCann Worldgroup chief creative officer Ashish Chakravarty from India.

Lions Festival CEO Philip Thomas said, “This is a very strong jury line-up befitting the high calibre of work that no doubt will be judged at Spikes Asia this year. Whilst Asia-Pacific agencies are doing well at international awards, it’s at regional awards such as Spikes Asia where more of the work will shine putting the spotlight on the region, its agencies and the creators of the work.”

The jury is made up of 10 other award winning creatives from across the region including Leo Burnett Indonesia executive creative director Brian Capel, BBDO Guerrero Philippines chairman & chief creative officer David Guerrero, Ogilvy & Mather China executive creative director Francis Wee, Y&R Malaysia executive creative director Gigi Lee, Innocean South Korea senior group creative director Hye Jin Won, Hakuhodo Kettle Japan creative director/co-chief executive officer Kentaro Kimura, Whybin\TBWA\Tequila Australia executive creative director Matty Burton, Lowe Worldwide Thailand executive creative director Piya Churakpong, BBH Asia Pacific regional executive creative director Steve Elrick and SE Asia JWT regional executive creative director Tay Guan Hin.

The festival awards the best creative work in radio and other categories like film, print, outdoor, digital, integrated, direct, promo & activation, media, print craft, film craft, design, mobile and PR.

The Spikes Asia Festival of Creativity 2012 is scheduled to take place from 16-18 September in Suntec Singapore.
