Soundtrack music to release on 23 Aug
MUMBAI: Saregama will launch the music and the first video of the film �Soundtrack' on Tuesday 23 August.
Composers Gaurav Raina, Tapan Raj (Midival Punditz) and Karsh Kale who forayed into mainstream bollywood last year with songs Karthik 2.0 and Dum Maaro Dum, have composed their first bollywood music album with 'Soundtrack'.
The album comprises of 12 tracks with two remixes �Ruk Jaana Nahi' and �Yeh Jeevan Hai' of legendary singer Laxmikant Pyarelal. Some of the well-known singers such as Kailash Kher, Suraj Jagan, Anushka Mahadevan, Vishal Vaid, Ankur Tewari, Malini Awasthy and Papon have lent their vocals for the album.
Speaking about the composers, Soundtrack director Neerav Ghosh said, Independent musicians have different reference points as compared to mainstream Bollywood composers. As electronic music is the theme of the movie Soundtrack, so working with Midival Punditz and Karsh Kale was an obvious choice....
Soundtrack directed by debutant director Neerav Ghosh is based on a true story of a prolific musician and DJ's journey to the top, and captures his alcohol, drug and sex-fuelled rise that are contradicted by an inevitable handicap. The movie starring Rajeev Khandelwal and Soha Ali Khan is slated for release on 30 September.
