MUMBAI: Sony Music has struck a deal with GlobalCollect and GmbH wherein Sony Music will use GlobalCollect's portfolio of local and international payment methods to enable e-payment transactions.

GlobalCollect's single-interface online payment platform WebCollect will offer an array of payment products form credit cards to alternative payment methods. Later the e-commerce offer will be expanded to include artist merchandise and concert tickets amongst others.

"The international payment strategy proposed by GlobalCollect not only offers the broadest choice of payment methods to our visitors but also the advantage of a scalable one-stop shop solution, while WebCollect platform reduces risk," says Sony Music Entertainment international director D2C sales Europe Patrick Bingley.

GlobalCollect offers online payment service to over 200 countries through its single interface online payment platform.
