Red FM propagates 'Quit Smoking Express'

MUMBAI: Red FM has joined hands with Pfizer, Salaam Bombay and BMC to organize a 'Quit Smoking Express' which started from 25 May and the campaign will also spread awareness about the hazards of smoking amongst the youth. On the occasion of 'World No Tobacco Day' this initiative is called as 'Pfizer presents Red FM Quit Smoking Express.'

The 'Red FM Quit Smoking Express' would comprise private buses which will travel along the roads of different cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad propagating the anti smoking message. Through this road show, flyers and pamphlets would be distributed during the activity which will advise users to quit smoking. People can also show their concern for all loved ones by writing a message on the signature board of the bus or one may also send a special personalized message delivered on-air by the RJs on-board the bus.

A special toll-free number and an informative website will also be offered to people to help them undertake this ordeal. Red FM Mumbai, national marketing head and station head Anuj Singh says, "Red FM has always been at the forefront in bajaaoing issues that concern the society under our CSR umbrella, Bajaao for a Cause. Cigarette smoking is an ill that affects not only the smoker but also his family and friends. Through this initiative we are not only trying to get the masses to quit smoking but also helping them get over this addiction by giving them information though a toll free number and website provided by Pfizer."

The on ground elements will kickstart by 31st May.
