Radio Mirchi sets MUMBAI into the spirit of GANPATI

MUMBAI: Radio Mirchi`s Mumbai station has announced a Ganpati special contest, the winners of which will be treated to a helicopter ride over the city skies on the day of final idol immersion.The contest, dubbed `Yeh toh height ho gayi hai guru`, will have actor Amrita Arora at Film City. Mirchi will have specials where listeners can participate in a contest such as Request Ganpati bappa to solve one problem of the city, "Ganpati Bappa Kay Tari Kara".

Says Radio Mirchi Mumbai station director Sujata Bhatt, "Mirchi continues to provide its audience `mirch, masaala and masti`, as part of the Ganpati festival special, the station will take select listeners for a larger than life experience, an exciting helicopter ride on the day of the Ganpati visarjan." Radio Mirchi will have exclusive programs revolving around the Ganesh festival with contests centred around the elephant headed God. Ganpati songs will be a part of the regular playlist for the 10 day festival, and Khoobsurat and Hello Mumbai on Radio Mirchi will broadcast highlights from some of the unique Ganpati pandals in Mumbai and celebrity chefs will share Maharashtrian recipes with listeners. Post the Ganesh visarjan on Wednesday 26 September 2007, the Mirchi team along with the listeners will clean Mumbai`s Juhu beach leading to the visarjan point as part of its clean Mumbai drive.
