Percept, T-Series strike five film deal

MUMBAI:Percept Picture Company has signed a deal to co- produce a minimum of five films with music company T-Series for the year 2007 - 08. Shooting for the Nagesh Kukunoor direcgted Aashayein has already been wrapped up. The film, starring John Abraham, is one out of the five pack deal, scheduled to be released next year. The other 4 films will also be directed by wellknown directors.T-Series is currently producing two films, Darling, directed by Ram Gopal Varma, which entered its last schedule in the first week of May.

The talkie part of the film has already been canned and dubbing for the movie is on. This film stars Fardeen Khan, Esha Deol and Ishaa Koppikar in the lead with music by Pritam.PPC has a slew of forthcoming films lined up for release this year, including Rubaru, Dhol, directed by Priyadarshan to be released in September, and the sequel to animated flick Hanuman; titled Hanuman Returns. Priyadarshan`s Bhool Bhulaiya is also scheduled to release in 2007.Says Percept Picture Company CEO Preet Bedi, "There are several areas of synergy between the two companies and both are eager to take this association further into other aspects such as music videos and events."
