MUMBAI: Nokia who is always known for innovation, is celebrating a successful spell with Ovi Music store this year. Nokia is integrating its devices with the latest innovative service through Ovi and had started a new trend. These trends have been observed across several music categories on its Ovi Music services since the time of its launch last year. Ovi music store is a unique platform which enables consumers to explore and choose from close to 5 million legal songs in its catalogue.

According to the downloading chart of 2010, Oscar winner A R Rahaman has consistently been the most downloaded Indian artist on Ovi Music Store in India. Where as, Shakira with her official World Cup song Waka Waka, was the most downloaded International artist for the year not only in India but for Ovi Music Store for 25% of all global downloads. Bollywood music, particularly romantic songs, is among the most popular form of music in India followed by �pop' and �rock' music respectively

Tere mast mast do nain... and Munni badnam hui... from Dabaang are among top 5 downloaded songs. While the most downloaded playback singers were Rahet Fateh Ali Khan and Mamta Sharma. Amongst the Music Directors Pritam scored the highest on popularity charts. Sajid-Wajid, Vishal-Shekhar and Salim-Sulaiman were other most downloaded music directors.

Internationally in India, Shakira topped the female barrage of artists followed by Taylor Swift and Norah Jones. Enrique's album "I like it" outperformed his contemporaries and was one of the ost popular album in 2010. Michael Jackson's "Hold my hand "and Justin Bieber's Baby" found place in the second and third spot.
