* Weekly chat show with business leaders of Siliguri, Gangtok

MUMBAI: Nine FM has introduced a weekly chat show Business Tycoon Live on NINE, featuring business leaders from Siliguri and Gangtok, to not only highlight the tremendous actual growth and future growth potential of both cities, but to showcase those captains of local business who have contributed to the local and regional development.

The two-hour show, hosted by RJs Atul Nirmika in Siliguri,  and RJ Rajshree in Gangtok, started on Sunday, the 2nd of January, 2011, and airs weekly at 2 pm. The episodes for each city are produced separately and feature a different local business leader for the strongest local relevance and therefore listener connect.

The first episode of Business Tycoon Live On NINE featured Sanjay Bajla, Director, Bajla Motors who runs a prominent motor dealership. He is also an avid motor sport enthusiast and participated in the Indo-Asian Car Rally from Guwahati to Indonesia which was held in November 2005.

The show talks about the personality's journey, both personal and professional, and is an amalgamation of information and entertainment as the presenters take a peek into the personal life of the personality and also share with listeners their success stories – of rags to riches, of the journey from the first thousand rupees to the first lakh and thereafter. Along with playing their favourite music and sharing other inspiring and entertaining nuggets of information.

Says Bobby Gupta, Chief Executive, NINE FM, told RadioAndMusic.com, The face of both, Siliguri and Gangtok, has changed over the decade and one can't but help marvel at the progress the cities are making. What  we tend to miss out on is recognizing the people behind the fast changing face of the city, people who have made Siliguri and Gangtok what they are today  NINE FM felt the need to give due credit to the 'mentors' of Siliguri and Gangtok  Even as a medium of advertising, we come across many businessmen and get to work with them at close quarters. During our interaction with them, we felt there was a need for someone to appreciate their hard work and vision. With this idea, we designed Business Tycoon Live on NINE....

The second episode, to air on Sunday the 9th of January, will feature Sachin Mitruka, Director, Smart Vin Trade, which has business interests in hospitality and real estate.
