NCPA pays tribute to Rock and Roll King - Elvis Presley

MUMBAI: National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) will pay tribute to Elvis Presley on his 76th anniversary with a four day event-�NCPA Legends — A tribute to the king of Rock �N' Roll', in association with with BSPCA and Tata Sons.

The event will relive Elvis magic with â€?The King in Cinemascope'  showcasing three short film documentaries; The King at the Movies — Jailhouse Rock, The King in Concert — This Is Elvis and The King Revealed from 6th to 8th June. Singer Gary Lawyer along with Christopher Fonceca - guitar, Leo Mathew and Filipe - keyboard, Clarry Devisser - bass and Adrian D'Souza – drums will render some of the best known Elvis hits at Tata Theatre on 11th June.

Speaking on the initiative, NCPA chairman Khushroo Suntook said, 34 years may have passed since Elvis Presley passed away but his music still continues to be very popular. The NCPA is honored to pay tribute to this legend through documentaries and a performance by a popular musician like Gary Lawyer....

NCPA will host two contests for audiences - the best dressed Elvis and a quiz on Elvis Presley
