Mirchi RJ Sana moves to TV
MUMBAI: Radio Mirchi jock Sana Shiekh is making her foray into television and has grabbed a lead role in an upcoming daily soap on Sony television. Sana has joined the bandwagon of the jocks seeking solace in television recently after ex-Big FM RJ Archana Jani and Fever FM's RJ Karan Singh Rathore have taken up as hosts for Zee's Mega Challenge
Sana, who hosted the afternoon show, �Dheemi local' on Mirchi from 11 am -2 pm on weekdays, would now be hosting a new show Television Radio Par (TRP) on Sundays from 3-6 pm. Sana adds chirpily, As I have ventured into television, I would be on air only on Sundays. The show TRP would be a talk show with me interviewing the television stars about their career, personal lives and other aspects....
Sana has been hosting the afternoon slot since the past five years and claims that she is the only Indian RJ to stick to a time slot for such a prolonged period. I joined Radio Mirchi in 2006 and underwent training and assisted jocks for the initial four months. I was allotted the afternoon slot, then known as �Khoobsurat'. The show was renamed into �Dheemi local' few months back after Radio Mirchi changed its music positioning adding retro music....
The show is currently hosted by RJ Sangeeta and I have talking about my shooting experiences, auditions etc over the phone. Through this the listeners are clued in about my journey in the television world.... The promos for the television show would be out by the end of November. "
Sana would be playing a 16-year-old small town girl in the daily soap produced by Film Farm productions Prior to bagging the lead role in the daily soap, Sana played a teenager in Disney Channel's �Kya mast hai life'.
