The article is good except for two mistakes it made. Abhigyan Das is not from West Bengal. He was a part of the Assam team, which lost the semifinal by West Bengal. Again it says "The Judged for the evening were Sonu Nigam, Suresh Wadkar and Anandji". It should have been "The judges (not Judged) for the evening were Sonu Nigam, Suresh Wadkar and Pyarelal (not Anandji)."
I was minutely following the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Mega Challenge 2009. The judges basically forced Maharashtra to be the champion. In Maharashtra team, except Vaishali, Kaushik and Rohit are by far the poorer singers compared to the West Bengal team members as well as a few other States' singers (almost like comparing apples with oranges). In the final today, West Bengal were given less points for all three solo performances. The extreme bias of the judges were very clear when Sanchita got 6 points and Rohit for 9. Ridiculous!! In the duet, how come Kaushik gets more than Keka? What was wrong with Abhijit's first duet with Vaishali? There was no "atman"? Where were judges' "atman" residing then? Did they drink too much during the competition or what? Very clearly, judges were biased to Maharashtra. I would not be surprised if they were also bribed. After this event, I have lost all my respect for Sonu, Suresh and Pyarelal. View: http://www.india-forums.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=1305
