Kavita Seth to pay tribute to late husband

MUMBAI: Playback singer Kavita Seth will give a musical performance to mark the first death anniversary of her husband KK Seth (he died of pancreatitis on 15 December 2011).  The ‘Nirvana’ tribute concert will take place at the Pranganga Amphitheatre Bhavans Campus, Andheri (West) on 15 December.

The concert will not be a star studded affair and will be attended by friends and dear ones who have been pivotal in my career including Amit Trivedi, Diana Penty, Seth told Radioandmusic.com.

The event will also screen an audio-visual of KK Seth’s career with Kavita rendering a song for each phase of his life. “I shall be singing ‘Chhaap Tilak’, ‘Ek Din’ from my new album- Ektara- and various others.  My husband’s taste of music was anything sung from the soul. He played a very important role in my career and growth as a singer. As a husband, father and a mentor he was everything and beyond a woman would ask for in a life partner.”

On 15 December 2011, KK Seth, who worked at the Airport Authority of India, came home at lunch complaining of a stomach ache. After that he was taken to a nearby hospital, detected with pancreatitis and his treatment began accordingly. But no medicine worked and he passed away in just three days. He was 48. A heartbroken Kavita was left to look after their two sons and juggle with her singing career.
