Jeet resurfaces with 'Morning Walk', Shaan debuts as lyricist

MUMBAI: After lying low for a couple of years, music director Jeet Gannguli, part of the Jeet-Pritam duo, returns to the Bollywood music circuit with Inox Motion Picture's forthcoming film 'Morning Walk'.

The film marks the comeback of the music director after a long hiatus. Though his last project Cheeti Cheeti Bang Bang' in 2008 was an animated movie, it did not create any ripples at the box office.

The album, to be launched by T-series, comprises six songs. Apart from the tittle track, the album boasts of one romantic number and a Latin- Thumri number sung by Ustad Rashid Khan, Shreya Ghoshal and newbie Joy. The lyrics have been penned by Nida Fazli along with Sanjeev Tiwari. The Latin track is penned by Dibendu Mukherjee. Apart from singing in the movie, singer Shaan debuts as lyricist, his first attempt ever.

The movie which stars Anupam Kher and Sharmila Tagore along with Rajit Kapoor, Divya Dutta, Shayan Munshi and Nargis and is directed by Arup Dutta, is national mutliplex chain, Inox Leisure's debut venture. It is slated to release on 26 June.

The music director has two other movies in his kitty, Niyati Shah's Mumbai Cutting' being one of them where he has composed two songs. He is also coming up with an album with singer Shaan where he has composed four songs.
