MUMBAI:  The much hyped new product from Apple, iPad can deliver six days' backup for music playback.

Apple CEO Steve Jobs has revealed that their latest product Apple iPad is capable of delivering battery backup of six days if it is only used for music playback. The screen needs to be disabled to achieve this.

With the IPS display turned on, the iPad should last up to 10 hours.

Given Nokia promises up to 12 hours of battery life for its Booklet, 10 hours on the Apple iPad should be considered pretty acceptable. Steve Jobs also said that the Apple A4 chip inside the iPad hardly uses any power, but that the IPS display is the source of the power drain.
