MUMBAI: Retro music provider iOldies.com has announced the launch of its new music app on IOS and Android Phones, Tablets and Mobile Devices.

The new app will be preloaded with five free download songs of major artists from the 50s to the 80s along with access to the website’s “Nostalgia Corner,” a daily newsletter that targets news relevant to the online “boomers” market, parent company The Baby Boomers social networking site” said.

The app will also include an additional five free monthly downloads with the purchase of any CD from the sites large inventory of product in its jukebox.

The marketing model is based upon the successful music industry’s record clubs such as Columbia House and The RCA Record Club, report said.

iOldies.com is a dominant player in the retro music market offering online portal where baby boomers can obtain their favorite music CD and sound tracks via instant download and interact on a social networking site. The site serves the “hidden majority” of 79 million online “Baby Boomers” born between 1946-1964- a market that is growing at the rate of 10,000 a day in the US alone for the next 17 years.

The app was developed to support the 35 per cent of visitors to the site that use a mobile device.
