FM stations pay homage to MJ

MUMBAI: The news of Michael Jackson's sudden demise has sent his fans around the globe into a tizzy. The world is mourning the loss of the 'King of Pop'. Paying their condolences to the legend, radio stations across the nation will commemorate the life of Michael Jackson with special programming over the next few days 

Jackson will play in the background on various FM stations, as patrons watch the coverage of his death on news channels and reminisce on his era. The radio stations are blasting only Jackson's music, and encouraging listeners to call in and share their fondest memories.

Radio Indigo, Bangalore will have tributes paid by the listeners from 2 pm till 5 in the evening. From 6 pm to 8 pm in the evening, the station will have international musicians like Celine Dion, Justin Timberlake, Paula Abdulla and a host of others talking about the Man, his music and the irreconcilable loss to the music world 

Radio One, Mumbai will dedicate four hours of music tomorrow morning from 8 till noon. RJ Anjaan from its Bangalore station will be on air tonight from 9 to midnight with the "Tribute to Michael Jackson" special along with celeb wishes and listener bytes.

Hit FM, Delhi would be offering its commiserations by playing his music that made the world groove. Listeners can also share their fondest MJ memories. Hit also had been running an on-air contest â€?Michael Jackson This Is It Challenge' where the winner would attend Jackson's concert in London. The contest will now run as The Tribute Concert... though the grand finale tour remains cancelled 

BBC worldwide would be syndicating special Michael Jackson show which will include reactions from Hollywood and Bollywood celebrities and musicians on his sudden demise. It will also include exclusive MJ's clips. Radio One, Radio Chaska (Gwalior), Radio Tadka (Udaipur, Jaipur), Radio Tomato (Kolhapur), Radio Rangila, and Radio Misty (Gangtok) are the other stations who will air the BBC capsule in MJ's memory.
