Victorious expands globally with new appointments

MUMBAI: Victorious, a start-up launched by a bunch of former YouTube executives, has expanded to over 12 markets, as part of its global expansion. The service helps power interactive communities for international creators, personalities and media companies to engage with their fans.

Through this expansion, the company will enter countries in Europe, Asia-Pacific and Latin America, and launch interactive communities in those regions.

Since the launch of communities for top creators in North America, such as Ryan Higa?, Joey Graceffa?, Machinima and Lilly Singh (Superwoman)?, millions of active fans have generated over 2 million pieces of user generated content across Victorious-powered communities.

Victorious Inc International VP and MD Tony Zameczkowski said, “We are very excited to expand Victorious globally and partner with the best creators on the planet. Our aim is to empower those creators, by ensuring they have control over how they engage their fans.”

He added, “Bringing the Victorious platform to creators, personalities and media companies in over 12 markets is particularly important, given the exponential growth in online audiences outside North America. Superfans are everywhere and we are excited to bring billions of superfans closer together in the palm of their hands.”

Under the leadership of Zameczkowski, former Google and YouTube executives- Christoph Poropatits?, Gabrielle Cuinier, Jacob Zachariah ?and Joe McDermottroe, ?will manage international business development and partner management. Zachariah is the GM for APAC, who will work closely with digital native creators, influencers, media companies and sport organisations, in this region.

The announcement was made at Mipcom 2015 by Victorious, which already has eight apps charted on iOS and Google Play till date.

By utilising the Victorious technology engine, creators-ranging from individuals to media companies, will be able to unlock new revenue streams.
