Falguni breaks with Big FM, joins Fever

MUMBAI: Dandiya queen Falguni Pathak who was a part of Big FM's Navratri celebrations, �9 Big nights' last year has tied up with Fever 104 FM.

Big FM had earlier this year, as part of its yearlong initiatives, announced a tie up with Falguni Pathak. But apparently, things didn't work out and Big FM has finally tied up with Dandiya duo Priety and Pinky.

Confirms Big FM's national marketing head Anand Chakravarthy, We had planned a tie up with Falguni Pathak carrying forward our association with her last year. However, we couldn't strike a deal and are in talks with Preity-Pinky for nine days of Navratri....

Big FM would be carrying out a lot of on ground activities engaging dandiya professionals and listeners to learn dandiya dancing steps. Dandiya is essentially a youth festival filled with dance and fun and we have planned some stings related to the festival. One of the things important in Navratri today is designer clothes and we are bringing some designers on board to design clothes exclusively for our listeners....

Apart from dancing tips, we would be giving out tips on fashion, dating, food outlets open post midnight, hangout places etc. Many on ground and on air activities are planned at our stations in Maharashtra, Surat, Baroda and other parts of Gujarat,... adds Chakravarthy.

Singer Preity states, Both me and Pinky would be performing at Somaiya Grounds at Ghatkopar and Big FM has tied up as the radio partner for the event. There would be interviews, live feeds, and interaction from the event venue. Apart from the on ground activity, we would be coming on air singing dedications for the listeners....

On the other hand, Fever FM has planned a lot of activities around Falgui Pathak for their Mumbai station. Fever FM national marketing manager Yasmine Mishra says, We are the exclusive radio partner for Navratri organiser 'Sankalp' this year and have also exclusively tied up with Dandiya queen Falguni Pathak. We have some programming initiatives planned for the nine days of Navratri, we would be playing Falguni songs on air for some days before the Navratri and during the festival.

Fever will make its presence felt at Sankalp with OB vans broadcasting the happenings live on radio. Fever RJs would be giving live feeds on air and interact with the audiences at the dandiya festival. As part of our association with Sankalp, we would be giving out passes on air for the listeners who win our contests.

Gaurav Thakkar who heads Falguni's marketing team, confirms, We have tied up exclusively with radio station Fever this year. Fever would be promoting the complete event on air live from the venue by providing live feeds like the starting aarti and interactions with the audiences. Falguni would be coming on air giving out interviews and interacting with the listeners....
