MUMBAI: Jazz guitarist Dhruv Ghanekar released his debut solo album 'Distance' under the Blue Frog Records label on 22 January 2009 in Mumbai.

Dhruv Ghanekar is known to have composed and produced music in virtually every genre, this also includes composing for Bollywood film Drona. However, 'Distance' is a unique project which aims at bridging the gap between the world of Jazz music and Indian classical music - considering Dhruv's exposure to both the genres. Not many know that Dhruv is also a disciple of the Sarangi great Sultan Khan and has studied Jazz music at Musicians Institute and Berkley College of Music.

Distance features many special guests like Joey Heredia, The Ploctones, Husain Jiffry, Carl Clements, Ashwin Shrinivas and Nicoli Freisman.
