Composer Harpeet Singh launches fourth sufi album; features 8 popular singers

MUMBAI: Composer Harpreet Singh, who gained popularity in 2008 with album �Teri Justajoo' has launched his fourth Sufi album �Teri Rehmatein' with Sony music.

The album featuring eight tracks  has been sung by popular singers including Salim Merchant, Tochi Raina, Richa Sharma, Jaswinder Narula, Meenal Joshi, Javed Ali and Pakistani Sufi artiste Sanam Marvi. Penned by Rajiv Pal Singh, the album highlights various forms of music like Gospel, qawwali and more.

Speaking about the album with Radioandmusic.com Harpreet Singh said, The album expresses love and gratitude to the All Mighty. The tracks depict the forte of all the singers adding a unique flavor to the Sufi album. The characterization of each and every artiste has played a major role in the formation of the track. ...

Recently, the album has also released a video for its first single �Teri Rehmatein' sung by Salim Merchant. The videos for the remaining track will also be released soon. Salim actively participated in the whole process of video making and also lent his inputs, further encouraging me to putforth my best,... Singh stated.

Encouraged with the success of Teri Rehmatein, Singh has already composed six tracks for his next album �Farida' which will be crooned by the popular singer Abhijeet Sawant. The six compositions interpret the preaching of Ghulam Fharid.

Harpreet Singh composed his first Sufi album Mehraam, which won him laurels and the best coming from the world renowned maestro AR Rahman. His composition �Rehenuma' sung by Sreeram was picked up by the makers of Hollywood film 'The Chronicles of Narnia' as the promotional song for the Hindi version and various other languages.
