Big Music releases single to cash in on IPL fervour

MUMBAI: Keeping the IPL cricket fever alive, Big Music has recorded a track titled "Kricket Se Aap ko Kya Mila"? The song is a light hearted take on the mass hysteria triggered by cricket and the manner in which it continues to be a major money-spinner and news maker.

The Bollywood version of the track uses the sound-alike voices of popular actors from Bollywood and cricket like Nana Patekar, Irrfan Khan and Navjyot Singh Sidhu, to name a few. The song, composed by Abhishek Arora and sung by Sunil Grover, takes the IPL hysteria a step forward.

Speaking about the track, Big Music and Home Entertainment chief executive officer Kulmeet Makkar says, "Big Music has been experimenting with new music genres and delivery formats that are relevant to our consumers. The song and music video will be available for digital downloads on mobile and Internet and also as a CD single."

Big Music has tied up with Zapak Digital Entertainment for the promotion of the album. "Cricket is a big crowd puller and we at Zapak support it in everyway that we can," says Zapak Managing Officer Arun Mehra. "We would be promoting the track through our cricket site and thrugh various other banners put up."

Big Music has recently announced the release of a music album for the IPL Cricket team, The Chennai Super Kings.
