BANGALORE: Event management company Buenos Entertainment (BE) and On The Rocks, a rock pub in Bangalore will hold a rock festival – Rock Ethos on 10 February in Bangalore.

The fest, construed on the lines of the legendary Woodstock festival, will havecombinations of 15 leading rock bands from Bangalore performing for 45 minutes each, unlike the regular 20-30 minutes allotted time, says a release.

The performing bands are: Bhomi, Motherjane, Myndsnare, Kryptos, Threinody, Extinct, Reflections, Inviktus, Spitfire, Illuminati, Galeej Gurus, Slain, Whitenoiz, Inner Sanctum.

The festival aims to promote original music in India; to promote anti-piracy; to let rock bands decide on their requirements; to build a platform for rock bands to be recognised; and to create an international rock festival experience. According to BE, Radio Mirchi is the radio partner or the event. Initally, BE plans to make this an annual event, and later a half yearly event.

An inauguration ceremony has been planned too, where the bands will parade with their flag bearer leading the way. Pyrotechnics, paintball, gaming zones, a huge food court, a lounge bar, snack bar and coffee shop are some of the attractions of the carnival. Entry is by invitation only.
