Nokia launches smartphone 'Asha 303'

MUMBAI: Nokia has expanded its Asha series with the launch of smartphone ‘Asha 303’ for the Indian market.

Based on S40 OS, the touch and type device is equipped with a 2.6 inch capacitive touch-screen display with 240 x 320 pixel resolution, qwerty keyboard, proximity sensor, 1 GHz processor, 3.2 MP digital camera with zoom and video capture capability, music player and FM radio with 32 GB expandable memory and 100 MB internal memory.

The smartphone is embedded with a music key for instant access to the playlist and Shazam music app.

The handset also features GPRS, edge, 3G, bluetooth, WiFi, USB port and in-built apps like angry birds lite, Zenga tv, Whatsapp, Facebook chat, free Nokia Music unlimited service and the latest release of Nokia Maps.

Nokia India director marketing Viral Oza said, “Nokia has been bringing smart innovation on mobile devices to newer price points, feeding the vast appetite for digital consumption for consumers. The Nokia Asha 303, loaded with Nokia browser, web apps, preinstalled Zenga TV, Whatsapp and angry birds lite stands very strong as an affordable smartphone.”

The handset is priced at Rs 8900.
