Motorola unveils W388 candy bar phone

MUMBAI: Motorola unveiled its new candy bar phone W388 for the Asian market this month.

The handset features a music player with extendable 2GB micro SD card. The phone also supports FM band. The phone has a battery life of nine hours of talk time with 16.5 days standby mode. It also boasts the Moto ID feature for identifying songs and artists on the go.

The dual band GSM phone comes in 109mm x 46mm x 14.7mm (4.3? x 1.8? x 0.6?) size, weighing 83 g. The phone features a VGA camera with no video recording in it. The main display comes with 1.8? 65k color TFT, 128?—160 pixel resolution.

The phone is scheduled to be commercially launched in the third quarter of the year, and is expected to cost $100.
