MUMBAI: Indian handset maker Micromax has introduced the smartphone A116 Canvas HD in the Indian mobile market.

The device is equipped with 5-inch HD IPS display, 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor, android 4.1 Jelly Bean, 8MP rear camera with LED flash and 4X zoom, VGA front camera, 1GB RAM, 4GB internal memory expandable up to 32GB and 2100 mAh battery.

This launch marks our association with MediaTek to bring forth our first quad core phone in this segment, offering consumers a great user experience with latest features and added functionality. The handset will be available from the first week of February and is slated to be priced at Rs 15,000.
