Idea Cellular unveils dual-SIM smartphone Zeal

MUMBAI: Telecom operator Idea Cellular has unveiled dual-SIM Zeal in the Indian market.

The device features 3.5-inch touch-screen with 320X480 pixels resolution, 1GHz processor Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, android 2.3.6 Gingerbread, 3MP rear camera with auto-focus and digital zoom, 256MB RAM, expandable memory upto 32 GB via microSD card, 3G, Wi-Fi, A-GPS and bluetooth.

The handset also comes with pre-loaded apps including Facebook, Twitter, Orkut, Youtube and Idea TV.

Idea Cellular chief corporate affairs officer Rajat Mukarji said, "For the past year, Idea has been focused on proliferating 3G in India by developing the entire ecosystem comprising of network coverage, customer service, applications and devices. We understand that the device plays an important role in enhancing service experience for the user, and has been a key component of Idea's 3G growth strategy. Idea Zeal has been affordably priced to suit the pockets of consumers in semi-urban and rural markets and is aimed at upgrading existing 2G users to 3G."

Zeal is especially targeted at the youth community comprising of college students and for those who wish to be connected through social networking sites and access emails on-the-go.

The device is priced at Rs 5,390.
