Radio One celebrates Pune launch

MUMBAI: RADIO ONE, the Ekdum Fataafat Station, celebrated the launch of its station in Pune at a glittering party held at Pune's new O Hotel. This launch marks the completion of the Radio One's western footprint, with stations already operational in Mumbai and Ahmedabad. Bollywood stars from soon to be released film Haal-e-dil, Amita Pathak, Nakuul Mehta and Adhyayan Suman as well as producer Kumar Mangat and old time greats Jackie Shroff, Amol Palekar and Rati Agnihotri joined Radio One owner Tariq Ansari and Sabina Sanghvi, Station Head Pune in cutting a cake to celebrate the evening.

Mission Istaanbul music launches at IIFA

MUMBAI: The music of Apoorva Lakhias upcoming film Mission Istaanbul was launched at the ongoing International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards in Bangkok. The music of this muliti-starrer film, launched under the T-Series label, has been scored by four music directors namely Annu Mallik, Shameer Tandon, Mika, and debutante Chirantan Bhatt. The audio CD of the film is priced at Rs 160 containing seven tracks, six of which are originals and one remix.

Govt accepts Trai recommendations on satellite radio

MUMBAI: The information and broadcasting (I&B) ministry has accepted the final recommendations by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai), with some modifications. The telecom regulator had recommended a draft policy that permits a satellite radio service provider to hold the permission of satellite radio channels. Among its various recommendations submitted by Trai, the ministry has also accepted the government's proposal in the draft policy on restrictions on news and advertisements in satellite radio service.
