Nokia launches new Lumia 530 in India

MUMBAI: Microsoft Devices India, officially launched its new Lumia 530 Dual Sim on Monday, 18 August. The company claims it to be the most affordable handset under the Lumia brand till date, in India.

The Lumia 530 runs on the Windows Phone 8.1 software. The device features a 4-inch 854 x 480 screen with a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 CPU processor. It has a 512MB RAM, 4GB internal storage which can be extended up to 128 GB using a microSD card. The Lumia 530 also boasts Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, 5 MP camera, dual-SIM (GSM + GSM) connectivity and a 1,430 mAh battery. Currently, green, white and orange color variants of the Lumia 530 are available for sale in the country.

“The affordable smartphone segment is growing exponentially, driven primarily by youth who are constantly looking out for smartphones with power-packed features at affordable prices,” said Nokia India, Director-Marketing Viral Oza.

The Lumia 530 is now available for sale on Snapdeal for Rs. 7,349, a discount of 10 percent off the retail price of the device, which is listed as Rs. 8,199.
