Beyonce teams with Nicki Minaj on remix version of 'Flawless'

MUMBAI: Beyonce is continuing her streak of dropping unannounced music; the latest being a remix of her track 'Flawless', which also features rapper Nicki Minaj. The Grammy winning singer, who is currently touring with her rapper husband for their 'On The Run' tour released the track via her website on Saturday.

Minaj's comes into the track about two minutes after begins and rhymes "Winning is my motherf***ing protocol/ Because I score before I ever throw the ball." At one point there is also a reference of the King of Pop, in which she says "Like MJ's doctor, They're killing me."

The remix also has an addition by Queen Bey, in which she sort of addresses the now infamous elevator incident between her sister Solange Knowles and Jay Z. "Of course sometimes s**t goes down when there's a billion dollars on an elevator," she says early on in the track.

While both, Beyonce and Minaj have collaborated with a number of other artistes in the past, this is the first time these two have joined forces. Minaj has been a long time admirer of the 'Halo' singer. Announcing the collaboration to her 17 plus million followers, the rapper said, "QueenOfRap slayin' wit #QueenBey"

This is the second track that Beyonce has recently released which has been given a slight twist. A few weeks ago, she released a teaser for her 2003 hit track 'Crazy in Love'. The new version is part of the highly anticipated film 'Fifty Shades of Grey' which will release next February.
