Croma launches two Windows based Intel tablets

MUMBAI: Croma, one of India's largest technology retail chains, has commissioned its own Windows based tablet device with Intel. On Thursday, July 31, in partnership with Intel India, Croma launched two Windows 8.1-powered devices, the Croma 1179 tablet and the Croma 1177 2-in-1 hybrid tablet with a detachable keyboard. The devices are priced at Rs. 13,990 and Rs. 21,990 each respectively.

The Croma 1179 tablet features an 8 inch display with 1280 x 800 pixels High Definition resolution and a pixel density of 160ppi. Croma 1179 is powered with 1.33GHz quad-core Atom Z3735D ‘Bay Trail-T' processor and boasts 2GB of RAM. Croma 1179 also features a 2 megapixel rear camera without flash and another 2 megapixel front camera. The tablet comes with 32GB built-in storage memory, which can be further expanded with the help of a microSD card. It is packed with a massive 5000mAh lithium polymer battery. Connectivity-wise, the Croma 1179 features 3G (via SIM card slot) and Wi-Fi connectivity.

The Croma 1177 2-in-1 hybrid tablet features a 10.1 inch display with a full-size detachable keyboard. It is powered with the same 1.33GHz quad-core Atom Z3735D ‘Bay Trail-T' processor; however, Croma has not supplied a clock speed in this case. The Croma 1177 also sports a 2-megapixel rear and front camera just like the tablet.
