MUMBAI: The holy month of Ramzan is over and now comes the time for celebrations. It is the time for pleasantries, 'sheer-kurmas' and of course 'Eidis' and exchanging gifts. Radioandmusic.com spoke to the musicians and asked them about their childhood memories of 'Eid'.

Shahid Mallya: My best memory of Eid is that, since our family was too big, we all gathered at the farm house. The best part was, all the kids in the family dressed up in the same colour. And since there were 30-35 kids running around, the parents would start looking out for their kids and it got chaotic at times. We still remember these incidents and laugh at them.

Sharib Sabri: Eid is the time when you actually resolve all the differences with people. So, there was this one time that I had a fight with someone in my locality and that person came to me on the day of Eid to wish me. That was when we actually mended our differences.

Mohammed Irfan: Eid reminds me of the gatherings with family and friends and of course 'sheer-khurma' and the other homemade delicacies.

Javed Ali: During 'Eid', I remember collecting 'Eidis' from all our relatives and visitors who would come to visit us at home. It was mandatory for all the visitors to give us Eidis and by the end of the day we would collect all the money and would go out to eat or just buy something. But, very often we competed with each other for collecting the money.

Radioandmusic.com wishes everyone a very happy and prosperous Eid.
