Ankit Tiwari: 'Kuch Toh Hua Hai' is only made for Kareena Kapoor

MUMBAI: Not long ago, 24 year old Ankit Tiwari delivered the biggest hit of the year, 'Gaaliyan' from the film 'Ek Villain' and once again presents yet another romantic track 'Kuch Toh Hua Hai' for the movie 'Singham Returns.' The film stars Kareena Kapoor and Ajay Devgn in the lead roles, and is set to release on 15 August, 2014.

"Out of the songs that I have composed till date, 'Kuch Toh Hua Hai' is the first song that has been made on such a short notice. I agreed to make the song only and only for Kareena Kapoor as I am an ardent fan of hers. I completed the shoot mix in a night since the song was to be shot the following day," said the composer of 'Sun Raha Hai Tu'. It was a dream come true for Tiwari as this is the first time that he had well known stars like Ajay Devgn and Kareena Kapoor.

Admitting the fact that he was a tad nervous while composing the track he said, "There are too many things happening around composing this track. First of all it was 'Singham Returns' also with Ajay Devgan and Kareena Kapoor, so the brand 'Singham' itself is so big that you already feel the pressure." The producers had already told Tiwari that he had to come up with something new and not compose a typical romantic song.

The composer teamed up with 'Tum Jo Aye Singer' Tulsi Kumar for the track. When it was finalised that Kumar would render vocals for the song, she was out of Mumbai. "I landed Mumbai, at about 11.30 pm, and we started recording at 12.00 am. I took an hour and a half to record the song. Whilst Ankit recorded his part in the morning," said Tulsi Kumar.

'Singham Returns' the sequel to the film 'Singham' which was released in 2011 and is directed by Rohit Shetty.
