Siddharth Menon shares mic with his mentor Shreya Ghoshal
MUMBAI: Playback singer and band member of 'Thaikkudam Bridge' Siddharth Menon recently launched a new single 'Yelove' which is a duet with Shreya Ghoshal. Menon expressed that the single was a chance for him to work with his mentor, Ghoshal, on the Sony TV reality show- X Factor.
Menon said, "We know each other for years now. Firstly, when I took up the project I was not aware that she was also involved too. She was a great mentor during my days at X factor. I was very happy when I came to know that she will be singing. It is a great feeling to have shared a space with your mentor." The single will be part of the Malayalam album 'Yelove' which is an independent music project by Magic Ferns. The music is composed and lyrics are penned by Ajith Mathew.
Sharing his experience about the video, an amused Menon said, "I was forced to act, I did not see it coming but it was fun." The music video of the single features Menon and Aditi Ravi. The video is directed by Bilu Tom Mathew and co-directed by Ronnie Manual Joseph.
Apart from the single 'Yelove', he has many projects in the pipeline. With Thaikkudam Bridge, Menon is busy touring and working on their original singles as well. His upcoming projects include Malayalam films titled 'Vegam' and Rajeev Ravi's 'Njan Steve Lopez'. The film has around four tracks with Menon crooning a romantic one. He also has a couple of Tamil projects that would release soon. He concluded that there are few more projects in the pipeline but would take a while before the announcement is made.
