MUMBAI: Robin Thicke released a new music video for his latest single 'Get Her Back' from his upcoming album 'Paula' which is dedicated to his estranged wife Paula Patton.

Through the single, the singer seems to be asking his wife of eight years, Patton, to forgive him. Thicke appears shirtless and looks directly at the camera throughout the video, with blood on his face.

The music video hints at the reasons for why the couple has separated. It screens a text conversation between them with messages that seem very personal. The video begins with a text message "I kept trying to warn you you were pushing too far".

A little ahead in the video, messages like "I hate myself", "Can I come see you?" and "I wrote a whole album about you" flash on the screen while Thicke continues singing. This sounds like a desperate attempt by the 37 year old musician to woo his wife back.

The video also has a woman who looks like the American actress Patton caressing and hugging Thicke. Her replies to Thicke's messages in the video are "You embarrassed me", "You ruined everything" and "I don't even know who you are". This clearly hints at the artiste's infamous performance at VMA awards where he was twerking and grinding with Miley Cyrus. Not long after a photo of the singer grabbing a fan's bottom started circulating the web as well.

The video although dedicated to Patton, is all about Thicke. The song makes Thicke sound like a victim who is in regret when his 'inconsiderate' wife says, "I don't care' to his pleads.

Patton has not commented on the video and is reportedly going ahead with the divorce.
