Aadesh Shrivastav: I am not comfortable with the concept of multi-composers

MUMBAI: Aadesh Shrivastav, composer of songs like 'Mora Piya' and 'Ras Ke Bhare' from the films like 'Raajneeti' and 'Satyagraha' is all set to perform at the upcoming concert of RD Burman on 27 June, 2014.

Talking to Radioanmusic.com's Dhairya Ingle about his performance on the birth anniversary of Panchamda, the composer said, "For this event, there are no rehearsals and we do not even know the songs that we are performing. It is not just my wife and me who are performing but also, the singers from the industry who have known him for a long time."

When asked whether he is comfortable with the concept of multi-composers he said, "I am definitely not comfortable with the concept of multi-composers. Does this concept apply to films? Each director is good at a specific genre. Are they asked to shoot a scene according to the genre they are comfortable with or do we have four directors for one film? No, so why with music."

He also mentioned that Sonu Nigam, Shaan, Sunidhi Chauhan and Shreya Ghoshal are one of the few singers who do not depend on plug -ns and other pro tools. "These singers have never depended on technology and always hit the right chords; it is only because they have learnt music. And this is what I always tell the new generation of singers. You need to learn music before you enter the recording studio," he concluded.
