Justin Bieber cleared of cell phone robbery charges

MUMBAI: Justin Bieber has been cleared of charges in an alleged cell phone robbery case, reports state. Last month the Canadian crooner was accused of trying to take a woman's phone in Los Angeles, after she apparently took pictures of him. However, reports state that the singer will not face charges due to insufficient evidence.

The incident took place at a miniature golf park in May 2014. According to the report, the 20 year old popstar was at the Sherman Oaks Castle Park with some of his friends when the alleged scuffle happened. The woman told police that that Bieber accused her of filming him and approached her and "demanded" to see her phone. She alleged that the singer reached into her purse and pulled out the phone.

While the charges in this particular case have been dropped, the 'Boyfriend' singer's legal woes are far from over. He is currently awaiting charges in a separate vandalism incident which took place earlier this year. Bieber was accused of egging his neighbour's house, causing more than $20,000 in damages. It is left to be seen whether he will face misdemeanour or felony charges, of which the latter could be more serious.

In recent months, he has also been accused of assaulting a limo driver while in Toronto, and was arrested in Miami for DUI.
