It is an honour to work with Dharma Productions: Toshi Sharib

MUMBAI: The music composer duo Toshi Sharib is on cloud nine as they have composed three songs for the film 'Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania' (HSKD). The film stars Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt in lead roles and is directed by debutant Shashank Khaitan.

Talking about how they landed up doing HSKD, composer Toshi said to Radioandmusic.com, "Actually we had been trying to work with Karan Sir for a long time now and he had heard our songs before. So one fine day he called me up and asked me to make a song for the film. And instead of one we ended up doing three songs. It is really an honour to work with Dharma Productions."

Since the track 'Saturday Saturday' is a peppy song, the composer stated that the voices needed to have the same amount of zeal. "Sharib and I knew Badshaah would do a good job and easily reflect Varun Dhawan's character through his voice. But it was difficult to zero down on the female singer, we tried three or four singers and then we thought Akriti Kakkar was the best," revealed the composer. "I think Akriti has done a fabulous job," Sharib added.

In the world where technology can correct the flaws of the voice, Sharib feels it is important to learn music for the upcoming singers. "No amount of technology can get you the feel that is required for the song. You are bound to get caught off guard at some point in time," he said. For now, however, the two are enjoying the versatile projects they have been getting over the last few years.
