MUMBAI: From magic to music, Emma Watson is reportedly going to star in a musical titled 'La La Land'. The actress, who is best known for playing 'Hermione Granger' in the Harry Potter series, is said to have a secret singing talent that she has concealed very well.

Watson will apparently be playing 'Mia' a wannabe actress and will star opposite Miles Teller, who is also reportedly to be in talks to play 'Sebastian', a smug, jazz pianist. The story is set in Los Angeles and revolves around the difficulty that arises when the two move in together and attempt to survive in the cut-throat entertainment industry. It would most likely lead them to start singing about their woes.

The musical is set to be directed by Damien Chazelle, who wrote and directed Whiplash- a drama film which was released in January this year. Should the talks go through; the upcoming musical will reunite Chazelle and Teller, who previously worked together in Whiplash. Teller played a jazz drummer who is mentored by a jazz maestro 'Terence Fletcher' (played by J.K. Simmons), and also stars former Glee actor Melissa Benoist.

Currently, Teller is filming for 'The Fantastic Four', while Watson will soon be seen in 'Regression', in which she stars alongside Ethan Hawke. The 24 year old most recently starred in Darren Aronofsky's Noah, which also featured Russell Crowe and Jennifer Connelly.
