RJ Malishka takes 'RJ of the Year' award again

MUMBAI: Nothing seems to stop Mumbai Mulgi RJ Malishka while she took home the trophy of 'RJ of the Year (Hindi)' at India Radio Forum 2014(IRF). She has won this title for five consecutive years. The multi-faced RJ has not restrained herself, which helps her test new waters.

Malishka's life is not only limited to Radio but has also expanded to the ramp, television and many other things that matter to her. She has been successful at carrying out campaigns like 'Dabaa Ke Bajaa', 'Mama Ko Paani Pilao' and 'Pothole Utsav' with ease. She recently walked the ramp for the 'Annual Cancer Patients Aid Association Fashion Show' to engage and spread the message against cancer.

In 2012, she was also a mascot for Pinkathon Mumbai. Malishka says, "I have been learning and growing with Red FM for nine years. It has cultivated in me a dimension where I take up many roles and not just be a Radio Jockey. Today, I do not limit myself to one cause but am associated with many as it helps me spread the word through my acts. Walking the ramp was one such instance." She recently featured in Swapnil Joshi's new show 'Dhaabal' and last year had been a participant in Zee's 'Connected Hum Tum'.

She believes that taking up a social cause is more about engaging her listeners to be pro-active. "The constant feedback, we receive helps us to improve and grow as a radio station and serve the society better. We offer entertainment along with information that is more relevant to the fans." In less than 24 hours 'Dabaa Ke Bajaa' was able to garner over 2, 50,000 pledges across Mumbai which she really takes pride in as she continues to promote 'Mama Ko Paani Pilao'.

Amidst all this she hinted that she is working on a project that would be revealed in few months time.
