Shraddha Kapoor sings 'Galliyan' for 'Ek Villain'

MUMBAI: It seems like Shraddha Kapoor, who plays a singer in the film 'Aashiqui 2', has derived inspiration from the role. She has now lent her vocals for the song, 'Galliyan' from her upcoming film 'Ek Villain'.

Hailing for the family of music stalwart- Lata Mangeshkar, Kapoor started practicing the song 'Gaaliyan' for a couple of days. Soon after the recording, she requested a CD with the rough cut of the track so she could get her grandpa's feedback. Also, Shraddha had not informed her grandpa beforehand that she would be lending her voice to a song, since she wanted an honest opinion from him. Sharaddha's Mother, Shivangi Kolhapuri happens to be the niece of the 'Nightingale of India'- Lata Mangeshkar.

The young actress, as a child, had taken her music lessons as she was very fond of singing and is also gifted with a beautiful voice. Prior to this, she had expressed her desire for starting her 'riyaaz' once again. She said, 'I am really keen to start my music riyaz once again. Playing Arohi only reminded me how much I missed doing it.'

'Ek Villain' film is slated to release on 27 June, 2014.
