Indian One Direction fans attempt bringing 2015 tour to India

MUMBAI: British boy band One Direction announced dates for a new tour 'On The Road Again' which is set to kick off in February 2015 in Australia. The new tour has so far featured 19 tour dates in three legs, of which five are in Australia, five in Japan, three in South Africa and one each in Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Philippines, Indonesia and the UAE.

While there is no doubt that the announcement thrilled millions of 'Directioners', the band's Indian fans felt left out. The news prompted Indian 'Directioners' to trend '#OnTheRoadAgainTourComeToIndia'. The hash tag was apparently trending for over 24 hours and appeared on not just India trends, but on World trends as well.

However, it is left to be seen whether the pressure from One Direction fans in India can bring the pop singers to the country.

Meanwhile, the boys are currently in the middle of their 'Where We Are Tour' and will kick of the second leg on 23 May 2014 in Dublin. Their present tour will end on 1 October 2014 in Atlanta in the US.

'On The Road Again Tour', which is the band's fourth stadium headlining concert tour will begin on 7 February 2015 in Perth Australia and will wrap up on 4 April 2015 in Dubai, UAE. Tickets for the band's 2015 tour will be available from 31 May onwards.
