Online museum for Bruce Springsteen to launch this June

MUMBAI: Veteran American rocker Bruce Springsteen will soon have an online museum to his name. The site- BlindedByTheLight.com will showcase over 300 artefacts from the singer's life. A launch date for 14 June 2014 has been set for the site, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of his hit album 'Born in the USA'. In the following months, more memorabilia will be added to the online museum.

Included in the various objects that will feature on The Boss' online museum are report cards, concert posters, hand written lyrics, Springsteen's driver's licence and even passport photos. Michael Crane, who has founded the site, will also hold contests every six months and give away prizes.

According to reports, the first prize that will be given away is original album artwork that has been autographed by the Grammy winning musician. Crane also said that of all of Springsteen's things, the one thing that he would love to give away Springsteen's 1957 Chevy Bel Air Convertible, in which the 64 year old wrote his smash hit 'Born to Run'.

Some of the pieces that will be displayed on the online museum can already be viewed on the site's Facebook page. This include the handwritten lyric sheet for 'Henry Boy' that later became 'Rosalita', his California driver licence, a first grade report card and Springsteen's first single record from the mid 60' with the Castiles.
