Bollywood to composing music for Bollywood projects. For many years, Kaur has composed music for non-film projects but never really shouldered the responsibility of a music composer in Bollywood until recently, with the film 'Babloo Happy Hai'. She plans to push her career as music composer in the film industry by taking up various projects and not just stick to party anthems.
But before unveiling any more film projects, she has two singles which will be released after the elections. Speaking to Radioandmusic.com, she said, "I am working on two singles one is for Punjabi fans and other is a hip-hop track."
Without revealing the title of the tracks, she said, "The Punjabi track for obvious reasons will surprise Punjabi audiences, and I have never really done anything special for them. I have done it this time. The other single is non-Indian and non-Bollywood. It will be a hip-hop track. After the elections, we will start promoting it." Her rap group- Certified Fresh worked with her on the latter track. "Certified Fresh is my rap group that is a mix of me and couple of Indian rappers who are born and bred in India. When it comes to MCing I believe they have high- standard."
Talking about her career in Bollywood as a music composer, she cleared the air saying that she would not just stick to party tracks but compose all genres of music. "I want to work with all the singers and also new talents as a composer. I would like to compose all kinds of music, be it regional music or folk music." Kaur added that new singers, who would like to work with her, will have to have an attitude and a willingness to spend hours in studio and be confident about their work.
She added that she will be composing more Bollywood projects in the coming years. "When I do my independent projects, I usually compose for them. I love making beats and composing. I can sit all night and day composing music and I would like doing it more often." Her new singles are also penned and composed by her.
The 'Char Baj Gaye' singer has a lot of ideas when it comes to experimental music and one crazy idea according to her, is to have a mix where she could get Mamta Sharma, Rekha Bhardwaj and herself to collaborate on one track.
Kaur recently released a track 'Karle Voting' to meet the election fever.
