Jack White to release new album 'Lazaretto' in June

MUMBAI: Former White Stripes frontman Jack White has revealed that he will soon be releasing a new album. The solo album, which is titled 'Lazaretto', is a follow up to his debut 2012 album 'Blunderbuss', which was quite successful. 'Lazaretto' is scheduled for release on 10 June this year, and in anticipation of the forthcoming album, White has also given fans a little preview.

The 'Love Interruption' singer's latest track 'High Ball Stepper' is an upbeat instrumental which features a lot of guitar by White himself, and some piano flourishes every now and again. However, this is not the album's lead single. White did state that the title track of the album will be released a little later in the month.

A limited special edition of 'Lazaretto' is available for pre-order until the 30 April, which fans can get by signing up for the Third Man Record's Vault. The album's limited edition includes a blue and white vinyl, along with a fold-out poster and 7 inch demo versions that feature two 'Lazaretto' cuts- 'Entitlement' and 'Alone in my Home'.

In addition to this, it will also include a hardcover 40-page book that will feature photos, musical notations and lyrics.

Along with working on his new album, White is also gearing up for several music festivals including the Governors Ball in New York, Bonnaroo in Manchester and Forecastle in Louisville.
