MUMBAI: Anwesha Datta Gupta, whose journey dates back from various reality shows, will be singing a few songs in Subhas Ghai's upcoming flick 'Kaanchi'. She has rendered her vocals to various tracks including 'Tu Sab Kuch' along with Sonu Nigam and 'Komshampa' with Aman Trikha. It was Ismail Darbar, who approached her with the offer to sing 'To Sab Kuch Hai'.
"I think it was wonderful singing the song 'Tu Sab Kuch Hai' and moreover, I was completely excited when I found out that Sonu Nigam had dubbed the song," said the 20 year old. But the best moment of her life came much later when Nigam complimented about her voice and wished her all the best for her future.
Since she has been collecting a number of accolades, does she feel the pressure of expectations? To which she replied, "No not really, all I do is I give my best to each song that I sing and leave the rest." The young singer also stated that she is open to experimenting with new genres, but feels that her voice is best suited for the romantic genre.
Gupta will be singing for Ismail Darbar's next movie called 'Gurudakshina'. Along with her career in singing, she is also pursuing her B.A Honours. When not recording, Anwesha passes her time reading books.
