Rihanna promotes Monster Tour with Eminem through 'Teen Mom' video

MUMBAI: Pop superstar Rihanna will join forces with rapper Eminem this summer on a co-headlining tour- ‘The Monster Tour’. On Saturday 22 March, the 26 year old singer promoted the upcoming tour with a little help from Teen Mom star- Jenelle Evans. In 2012, a video of Evans went viral, in which she told her lawyer that she could not go to jail because she would be going to a Ke$ha concert. The Barbadian singer creatively used the infamous clip to announce her upcoming tour, with a little tweak at the end.

The original video shows Evans telling her lawyer that she really cannot miss the concert. “That's why I got all these feathers in my hair,” she explains. “I bought clothes for the concert. I set up hotel rooms for the concert. It's not just a concert it's…" At that point, Evans’ voice trails off and a booming voice says “Rihanna”.

The ‘Diamonds’ singer used the video to announce the tour to her 34 plus million Twitter followers, which will see her pairing up with her ‘Love the Way You Lie’ collaborator- Eminem. Initially, the Monster Tour was supposed to have only three concerts in Los Angeles, New York and Detroit. However, an overwhelming demand for tickets resulted in adding a second show to each of the venues.

Rihanna and Eminem will kick off the tour in Los Angeles on 6 and 7 August, after which they will perform at New York on 16 and 17 August and finally in Detroit on 22 and 23 August. The added shows were announced on Facebook, on a special page created for the Monster Tour.
